On Friday, May 18th 2018, Heritage Automotive Group hosted a fundraising car wash to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington.
The car wash took place at the Boys and Girls Club at 62 Oak Street in Burlington. Members of the H‐Team—employees of Heritage Automotive Group—worked side‐by‐side with the kids and staff of the Club to raise funds for the many programs that the Club offers. The Boys and Girls Club of Burlington helps 250 kids every day to build their own great futures by providing a safe place, helping to develop character and supporting academic success.
In addition to supporting kids to pursue college, The Club provides a safe space for its members, provides snacks and homework help, positive social time, recreation, as well as a hot meal every night. Dedicated to their members and helping them make the best choices about how to interact with others, as well as avoid drugs and alcohol, the staff members at the Boys and Girls Club work six days a week to provide guidance wherever it’s needed.
What does it mean to build a strong community? The H-Team knows it starts with healthy opportunities for kids. That’s why we are so proud to partner with The Boys and Girls Club of Burlington.
Since 2008, we’ve supported the club and its educational initiatives for the kids at the Boys and Girls Club. Knowing that providing paths to education is the single best way to break cycles of poverty, The Boys and Girls Club works every day to provide support for kids to pursue education after high school.
Dave Machavern, owner of Heritage Automotive Group said, “We encourage the community to come forward to support the important work of The Boys and Girls Club. I am amazed by what the staff and volunteers do there every day. I have great pride in knowing we are able to offer this car wash, spend a day working alongside the kids, and raise money for some great programs in our community.”

Then our entire community — all of our roughly 250 employees, plus any members of the larger community — is invited to add to the collection of canned goods.
